Denise Hylands is joined by country music icon Kasey Chambers to chat about her new album Backbone and her first foray into writing with her debut book Just Don’t Be A Dickhead and Other Profound Things I’ve Learnt.

“I was a bit nervous about it, I definitely had all the insecurities come up and self-doubt come creeping in particularly around the time I was writing a lot of the deep, honest stuff and you know, talking about some things in the book that make me feel really uncomfortable to share with other people – but I think there’s a part of me that just in general that on a creative level.. I think I feel better and more myself when I’m just digging deep and being really honest.”

Kasey Chambers plays Queenscliff Music Festival on 22-24 November.
