Described as being “one of the country’s most dedicated, visionary and prolific independent film-makers”, Bill Mousoulis has been a key figure in Australian independent screen culture over the last 40 years. During this time, he has produced over 100 short and feature-length films, moving across various styles and formats providing a unique reflection on his Greek-Australian heritage as well as his Melbourne upbringing
Flick Ford is joined by Bill himself and Fiona Villella, one of the editors at Senses of Cinema to discuss Melbourne Cinémathèque’s one-night-only micro season celebrating Bill’s filmography! The screening is showing at ACMI on Wednesday 24 May at 7PM!
Then, Flick and guests dive into two retro films currently streaming on SBS! They review Nanni Moretti’s 2015 drama, MIA MADRE and Kiesloweski’s 1988 A SHORT FILM ABOUT KILLING!
