The Mission: The Walk For Truth With Yoorrook Justice Commissioner Travis Lovett

Uncle Charles Pakana speaks with Yoorrook Justice Commissioner Travis Lovett on the Walk for Truth. The 370km walk from Portland to the Victorian Parliament aims to spread awareness for the first formal truth-telling process into historical and ongoing injustices experienced by First Peoples in Victoria. They talk about the inspiration behind the walk, the significant of starting where colonisation began in Victoria, reflecting on the failed Voice referendum, and invite everyone to join the walk.

"Our people have long fought and shared the truth, they've already been saying it, but the walk is about bringing all of society together."

Everyone, Aboriginal or non-Aboriginal, are invited to join the walk starting in Portland from the 25th of May to the 18th of June.
