Palestinian Naarm/Melbourne based soul musician YARA joins Samira Farah for a post-Meredith Music Festival chat.

Having just played her biggest show to date, YARA breaks down the excitement of playing the Meredith mainstage, how her experience as a Palestinian migrant has shaped her music and the story behind her debut EP Lonely Love Affair.

“It was basically about being single for a long time, for the first time. I was a serial monogamist before that. It was just nice to hear my own thoughts and grow up for the first time without having a boyfriend and just y’know, go from girl to woman.”
