The International Pop Underground: Throwing Muses Legend Kristin Hersh on Letting Her Songs Live Their Own Lives

On the eve of an Australian tour, with the release of a new Throwing Muses LP —Moonlight Concessions— imminent, Kristin Hersh joins Anthony Carew on The International Pop Underground.

Across a wide-ranging conversation, Hersh talks about the making of Moonlight Concessions, the writing of her incredible memoir Rat Girl, her early teenaged self, and surviving the corporate buy-in of alternative music in the 1990s.

And, Hersh eloquently talks about how her songs —which come to her as auditory hallucinations— feel like they have their own rebellious lives.
