When Fabiana Palladino was in Melbourne touring with Jai Paul —both playing in his backing band and as his support— she stopped by the RRR Studios to speak to The International Pop Underground's Anthony Carew.

The 36-year-old talked about her life in music —growing up as Pino Palladino's daughter; releasing her first music in 2011; collaborating, over the years, with people like Jai Paul, Sampha, SBTRKT, Jessie Ware, Laura Groves, Kindness and more— and how it led to the making of her self-titled debut album.

"I think a lot of artists releasing their first album are at least ten years younger than me," Palladino offers.

"I can't imagine going into this, making music and trying to be an artist, when you haven't had at least some kind of experience. It would be so difficult and strange and hard to navigate. I'm so glad that it's worked this way for me. That I've been able to learn from all these brilliant people."
