Athena and Adam from the dance-punk ensemble, Gut Health, come into the studio this week on ‘Distant Sky’ to talk about their debut LP, ‘Stiletto’. The album features as Triple R’s album of the week and has received critical acclaim for its mend of 1970’s post-punk and New York City 2000s dance-punk revival (think The Strokes and Queens of the Stone Age met Hiatus Kaiyote at a bookclub and decided to make a record). 

Kate chats with Athena and Adam about the story behind their matching stiletto tattoos, their first ever international tour this year and how it now feels to release their first album in a whirlwind year of firsts. 

‘It was kinda frightening to put it all in this physical form, but also cathartic instead of it living up in our heads, it was really nice to see this LP and just be able to hold it’.
