Producer and multi-instrumentalist Simon Mavin returns to Stylin to talk to Ennio Styles about his debut solo EP, Good Hair Day / Only You & Me. Despite playing in dozens of combos over the years, including Swooping, The Putbacks, and The Sweet Enoughs, the Grammy-nominated keyboardist/co-producer and co-writer in Hiatus Kaiyote has never “gone solo”. The pair talk about what inspired Simon to release something under his own name, look back on his early days in the Melbourne scene, and discuss how things are progressing in the studio recording the new Hiatus Kaiyote album.
