Adelaide raised and LA based bassist Anna Butterss has had a really busy year playing and releasing music with experimental jazz collective Small Medium Large (SML), as well as releasing their own solo record Mighty Vertebrate, with both records out now on iconic Chicago label International Anthem.

Anna catches up with Sam to discuss their move from Adelaide to the creative hub of LA's diverse musical community, and the place they hold across a number of disparate musical scenes as a sought after session player and live performer.
