Press Colour: Molly Nilsson's Anti-Fascist Pop Mission
Ahead of her Australian tour, Swedish via Berlin synth pop icon Molly Nilsson phones into Press Colour to chat to Sam about her 2024 album Un-American Activities.
Written and recorded entirely on location in California at the former home of writer, poet and early opponent of the National Socialist regime in 1930s Germany, Lion Feuchtwanger and his wife Marta. The record draws parallels between the rise in the fascism in the 1930s, and the surge in far-right politics happening across the world today.
Listen back to get in the mood for Molly's upcoming tour, and hear how she uses her infectious pop songwriting as a trojan horse for fighting fascism.
You can catch Molly perform live at The Night Cat on February 15th. Tickets available now
