Estudiantina of Melbourne (Students of Melbourne) joins Patrick to discuss their upcoming Brunswick Ballroom live show and debut album launch, with the full eight-piece band performing live in the studio.

Specialising in Rembetika and Smyrneika, the group brings a rich traditional sound shaped by Greek, Turkish, Jewish, and Armenian influences. Their instrumentation—including the oud, bouzouki, violin, qanun, baglama, and accordion—creates a mesmerising tapestry of sound, transporting listeners to another era.

Their debut album launch on 9 March at Brunswick Ballroom promises an unforgettable celebration of Greek musical heritage in one of Melbourne’s cultural hubs.
