Breakfasters: Mel Fulton on the Literati Glitterati Salon, a New Monthly Book Club on Triple R
Mel Fulton, host of Literati Glitterati joins the Breakfasters to talk about the show's book club launch and why radio book clubs are a low-key introduction to the world of book clubs! Kicking off the Literati Glitterati Salon is Dorothy Porter's The Monkey's Mask. Celebrating thirty years since its 1994 release, this modern Australian classic is gritty, sensual and pioneering in form, told in short verses that hit like your favourite song lyrics. Joined by special guests RVG’s Romy Vager, Worms Book Club’s Hayley Percy, and Dorothy’s surviving partner, award-winning novelist Andrea Goldsmith, the Literati Glitterati Salon is a new monthly book club for folks who like a good story, well told.
The Literati Glitterati Salon will launch with a special in-person event for Triple R subscribers in the performance space on Tuesday 28 May, 7:00-8:00pm (for more info, head here). Or, if you can't make it, you'll hear it broadcast the next day on Literati Glitterati on Wednesday 29 May, 12:00-1:00pm where you can participate via the textline!
