Maps: Graham Sayle on High-Vis, the Hardcore Scene and Human Connection

Graham Sayle from High-Vis caught up with Fee moments before a live show in the US to discuss their new third album, Guided Tour, and the influences shaping their music. Formed in 2016 and rooted in the English hardcore punk scene, High-Vis is now navigating the chaos of a six-week American tour, with each album growing their fan base and critical reception.

Graham shared the reality of touring, explaining that the glamour often associated with it is replaced by the hard work of a non-stop, 24/7 schedule. Despite the challenges, he expressed gratitude:

“Touring is incredible. Being able to connect with people over something so personal – we never thought it would go further than just us lot.”

For Graham, songwriting is a personal outlet to help him make sense of his feelings, and notes that his most personal lyrics resonate the most broadly with his listeners.
