Baltimore based home recording pioneer Linda Smith joins Sam on the show to unpack the new compilation of her first band The Woods, a short-lived NYC based band who only released one single in the mid-80s before disappearing into obscuity. Linda talks through the renewed interest in her solo music in recent years, but also the re-emergence of the music of The Woods which led to Dot Matrix releasing the compilation "So Long Before Now".
