American jazz trumpet player Keyon Harrold swings by Get Down ahead of his Melbourne shows at Bird's Basement to chat to Chris Gill about his new album, Foreverland. The record showcases his rich, eclectic jazz influences that range from Radiohead to John Coltrane and further builds on his expansive and exploratory signature style.
Keyon shares stories from his prolific career, boasting an impressive resume that includes assisting on recordings by JAY-Z, Beyoncé, 50 Cent, Anthony Hamilton, Gregory Porter, Mac Miller, Mary J. Blige and Maxwell, working on the Miles Davis biopic, as well as his new friendship with Melbourne's own Audrey Powne.
