Zoe and Lucy from local surrealist pop collective Eggy drop by the studio to chat to Jazz about their new single "Open Field", written and intended as a three part odyssey.
The band discuss how the track was inspired by pop music philospher Robin James' theorizing on sound, race and gender.
Paraphrasing James, the band explain that “the way that we organize society also manifests in the way that we organize sound", an idea used as the bedrock for writing and recording their new music.
Listen back to hear the chat and to hear Eggy guest select some of their favourite music made by women and GNC artists.
