Breakfasters: Patricia Piccinini Is Sculpting Conversations At FUSE Festival

Patricia Piccinini took time to chat with Dan, Nat, and Monique from Breakfasters to discuss her upcoming keynote speech at the FUSE Festival, as well as AI in the multimedia space, and the layers and depth of art.

A globally renowned visual artist, Patricia is an expert in sculpture, visual arts, and drawing. She is known for her anthropomorphic, hyper-realistic sculptures that blur the lines between animal and human, often juxtaposing their relationships and inviting us to question the "whys" behind them.

With an exhibition in Jakarta and an upcoming one in New Zealand, Patricia is taking a moment to deliver a keynote presentation at FUSE, Darebin’s contemporary multi-arts festival.

“I do make some really odd things that don’t fit into the art market, museum world, or someone’s house. But they are the perfect catalyst for conversation about what is important around us,”
