Former Breakfasters, Sarah Smith and Chris Hatzis (also former Program Manager), join the current team to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the show and discuss the history of Breakfasters, Triple R, and the state of radio. While many reminisce about the "golden years" of particular eras, the Breakfasters veterans focus on the youthful optimism driving the show forward: highlighting the importance of new ideas, fresh voices, and boundary-pushing on the team.

With Radiothon on their minds, they discuss the pulling power of Triple R and how, over its history, so many memories are centred around subscribing and growing up with the station’s programs. Triple R is integral to Naarm/Melbourne, as it’s deeply woven into the cultural fabric of the city in a way that can’t be easily quantified.

“I don’t want Triple R to just survive; I want it to thrive. It really is the antidote to so much of what’s happening in the world,” Sarah declares.
