Banksia: Troy Cassar-Daley on New Record 'Between The Fires' and 30 Years of 'Beyond the Dancing'
Gumbaynggirr and Bundjalung man and Country artist Troy Cassar-Daley joined Vanessa Morris on Banksia ahead of performing at St Kilda Festival and Port Fairy Folk Festivals.
In the lead up to St Kilda Festival, Troy reflected on the significance of St Kilda early in his career, where he had written several songs, including songs with Paul Kelly. In reflections of his early career days, the pair discussed the 30th anniversary of his debut record, Beyond the Dancing, which came out in January 1995.
Troy also share personal reflections behind recent recrord 'Between The Fires', partly related to the loss of his beloved mother, to which he recorded it in her house.
He also support and witnessing the musical journey of daughter, Jem Cassar-Daley.
