Akaiya glam rockers Mulga Bore Hard Rock, joined Vanessa Morris on Banksia to talk about their latest single Sweet Home Mulga Bore as well as their music journey from the Central Desert to playing stages around the continent.
Off the back of the release of their latest single, members Alvin and Kirkland spoke about their experiences spanning from opening for Kiss in 2022 to opening Golden Plains in 2025. Mulga Bore Hard Rock have established their presence at many festivals including Golden Plains, Port Fairy Folk Festival, SXSW and Big Sound.
Alvin and Kirkland also spoke about writing music and their KISS-inspired on-stage personas, costumes and make-up but with their own Mulga Bore Hard Rock style.
Mulga Bore Hard Rock are a band made up of cousins and siblings aged from 16 years old to 21 years old who grew up in a small remote town in the Central Desert with a population of 40 people.
