Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander comedian Jay Wymarra joined Vanessa Morris on Banksia to talk about debut solo comedy show AmaJayus.

Jay discussed developing AmaJayus, which included collaborating with composer Tegan Koster and producer Hairbrain, and is described to be part comedy and part ghost story, queer-feral rock opera about self-acceptance and finding where you fit.

They also spoke about performing as part of the Aboriginal Comedy All Stars alongside Andy Saunders, Janty Blair, Sean Choolburra, Kevin Kropinyeri and Elaine Crombie who whill be performing next at the Brisbane Comedy Festival from 2 - 5 May.

AmaJayus is at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival until 21 April and Sydney Comedy Festival from 15 - 17 May.
