Hip-hop artist Sachém, who holds deep ancestral ties to the Noonuccal people of Stradbroke Island and African American heritage, with family roots tracing back to Florida, joined Vanessa Morris on Banksia to talk about new single Shakin and Bakin.

The pair discussed how the single, which is Sachém's first in 18 months, explores the moment of triumph, the emergence from struggle with renewed strength and pride and is a declaration of survival, growth, and self-belief. As well as the accompanying film clip's concept which is based on the expectations of other people.

Sachém also spoke about how working with producer WY'ES™ on this track has led to merging solo-projects and have more to come in future.
