First Nations singer-songwriter and visual creator GLVES joined Vanessa Morris on Banksia to discuss new single Mundagudda created in collaboration with Wadawurrung producer MOSS.

GLVES spoke about how Mundagudda an immersive experience that bridges time and culture and helps tell the story of Kamilaroi/Gunggari Community Elder, Aunty Jude Hammond.

Mundagudda uses words written originally by Aunty Jude in 1996 during a spiritual journey reconnecting on her Bidjara family’s Country, the song brings to life the Rainbow Serpent, Mundagudda.

She also spoke about their Blaktronica sound and single Stand Tall created for the Australian Women in Music Awards, released earlier this year.

GLVES has an EP expected for release in February 2025.
