Banksia: Claire G. Coleman talks 'Enclave'
Noongar writer Claire G. Coleman says that Enclave, her fourth novel, is just as exciting to see out in the world as her first.
Claire tells Banksia presenter Vanessa Morris that she's spent the pandemic years being prolific, writing fiction and non-fiction, and that writing has distracted her from the harshness of lockdowns. Claire's new novel explores surveillance, paranoia, segregation, racism, homophobia, and socio-economic bubbles.
She also tells Vanessa about the emotional challenges of curating Centre for Reworlding, a new exhibition for Incinerator Gallery, and why she often finds herself ignoring NAIDOC week.
