Writer and editor Bianca Valentino joins Vanessa Morris on Banksia to discuss essay Against the grain: Finding meaning in punk which was published in Griffith Review 84: Attachment Styles.

Described as the catalyst that encouraged Bianca to finish her recently published book Conversations with Punk - Bianca spoke about her experience growing up in the punk scene, creating zines from an early age and exploring spirituality as a result of her mother's diagnoses with Alzheimer's which is captured in the essay.

Bianca also spoke about book Conversations with Punx - a spiritual dialogue which features over 150 interviews with punk and hardcore musicians from across the globe and the great response it has recieved so far.
