Indigenuity: Andrew Krakouer's New Children's Book on Parental Incarceration
Proud Minang (Nyoongar) and Inggarda (Yamatji) writer and former AFL footballer, Andrew Krakouer, joins Krystal to talk about his recently released children’s book, My Dad’s Gone Away, co-authored with Jaqueline Dinan which serves as a meaningful resource for conversations with children about parental incarceration. Andrew also shares stories about his own experiences of incarceration in his family, where children are the oft-overlooked victims.
My Dad's Gone Away is illustrated by Paul Seden and is out now through Magabala Books.
