Tim Flannery - Uncommon Sense
‘Where did Europe begin?’ This was the question Professor Tim Flannery asked himself when he first began researching for his latest book, Europe: A Natural History. The acclaimed writer and scientist phones in to Uncommon Sense to discuss Europe, what sparked his fascination with the natural history of the continent, and why this book is important for understanding not only how the ecosystems of the continent have changed in the past 100 million years, but how its people have, too. As Tim explains, the ‘great constants’ and the ‘very essence of Europe is exchange [and] hybridisation.’
