- The Score: Conversations at Camp Sovereignty
Kirby fills in for Samira.
Advocate, writer and campaigner Nathalie Farah (Free Palestine Melbourne, Disruptwars, Bukjeh) and Liz Turner from the Renegade Solidarity Audio Force discuss Hume For Palestine's "Shut Down HTA" campaign, including an upcoming peaceful community picket at HTA in Campbellfield on Friday March 8th from 5am. Check @humeforpalestine on Instagram and HUME for Palestine on Facebook for more information and updates about the community picket.
And, a series of interviews recorded at Camp Sovereignty. Uncle Robbie Thorpe, Jasper Cohen-Hunter and Manju talk about the camp, ceremonial fire and nightly sunset ceremonies that were re-established in so-called "King's Domain" on January 26th. On March 12th, Camp Sovereignty celebrates the 18th anniversary of when Uncle Robbie and Uncle Kev Buzzacott first lit the fire in 2006. There's currently a fundraising campaign to support the transport and accommodation costs of Elders travelling to Naarm for the anniversary celebrations, and you can find out more about camp and the plans for March 12th can be found on Instagram via @old.country.calling and @blackpeoplesunion.
