The Aquarium
Sonic delights traversing genres and time.
High Tide
The sister program to overnight pop-up show The Aquarium. The fusion of genres, movements, and waves of sound, all crashing together in harmony.
How did you first connect with Triple R?
When I moved to Melbourne in 2013, I just vividly remember seeing those classic 3RRR stickers everywhere! I became a regular listener after that.
What/when was your first show?
A graveyard shift with Chelsea (The Dark Room), maybe a bit over a year ago now? Pretty sure the playlist was chaotic knowing our music tastes.
What's your favourite Triple R story?
Having beers at The Lomond with Alex G and his band after his Live-To-Air in the 3RRR Performance Space (still can't believe this was real). That set was so memorable too, a lot of funny things happened.
What's your favourite other Triple R program and why?
Oh no I can't choose... but if I have to, probably Stylin'. It's just pure hits start to finish, and one of the first shows I loved & started regularly tuning into.
What does Triple R mean to you?
Everyone says community, but it's true - the station nurtures and supports this city.
The studio door has accidentally shut with you stuck inside. If there was only one CD in there with you what would you want it to be and why?
I thought long and hard about this, and I have to say Veteran by JPEGMAFIA. This is purely based on the fact I haven't lost my mind listening to it as many times as I have already.
