How did you first connect with Triple R?
Before I moved to Australia, Anthony Carew and I used to write rambling emails to each other after we 'met' through music social media website Last.FM, so I'd heard about Triple R. When I moved here, I did the broadcaster course and then did a summer fill show related to a feminist music organisation I was involved with, which brings me to...
What/when was your first show?
LISTEN Radio, a summer fill in early 2016. Vanessa Toholka overheard me talking with someone in the green room around this time about how I was leaving the tech industry, so she approached and poached me for Byte into IT.
What's your favourite Triple R story?
There are funnier ones, but my favourite is when Warren Davies and I presented a Max Headroom about the music of Twin Peaks. As we were doing the research, I discovered that the author of the 33 1/3 book on the subject lived in Melbourne, so we were able to get her in the studio for an interview. I don't think I've ever nerded out so hard and it wasn't even for Byte!
Your favourite other Triple R program and why?
It's too hard to pick favourites!
What does Triple R mean to you?
Diversity of voices.
The studio door has accidentally jammed shut with you stuck inside. If there was only one CD in there with you what would you want it to be and why?
Encarta '95.
