Our October Live at RRR Lineup!
We've got another exciting lineup in the Triple R Performance Space for October! This month, we're featuring four artists across different genres for Live at RRR.
First up, join us on Friday 4 October for a trailblazing performance from Agung Mango, hosted by Krishan Meepe of Culture Shock.
Agung Mango will present tracks from his debut album IN BELLY WE TRUST, a recent Triple R Album of the Week. Expect a raw, personal set of hip-hop, R&B, and industrial sounds, as Agung explores themes of authenticity, self-trust, and creative energy.
The next night, on Friday 11 October, prepare for a rare solo set by Jess Cornelius, hosted by Fee B Squared of Maps.
Jess will perform tracks from recent Triple R Album of the Week CARE/TAKING, which blends jangly guitars, vintage '70s sounds, and poignant lyrics on motherhood, loss, and self-discovery. The album reflects Cornelius's path from New Zealand to Los Angeles and the personal changes that shaped her music.
Unfortunately, Hurray For The Riff Raff are no longer able to perform Live at RRR on Thursday 10 October. We're delighted to announce Rose City Band will be able to join us in the Triple R Performance Space instead.
On Friday 18 October, come along for a mesmerizing live performance by Rose City Band, hosted by Denise Hylands of Twang!
Rose City Band, led by Portland's Ripley Johnson (of Wooden Shjips and Moon Duo), will be bringing their country-tinged psychedelic rock to Australia for the first time. Alongside a slew of shows in Melbourne, including an appearance at Out on the Weekend, they'll be bringing their soaring guitar solos, pedal steel lines and driving rhythms to the Triple R Performance Space. Prepare for a cosmic sound that evokes the wide-open spaces of the American West.
And to round out the month, on Friday 25 October, Audrey Powne returns home for a soaring set in the Triple R Performance Space, hosted by Ennio Styles of Stylin'.
An acclaimed composer and multi-instrumentalist, Audrey will showcase songs from her debut From the Fire, a recent Triple R Album of the Week. Inspired by the regrowth of native trees after the 2019 Australian bushfires, the record offers songs of rebirth and survival, blending elements of soul-jazz, classical music, and hip-hop.
