Live at RRR This December!
As 2023 draws to a close, it's your last chance to catch an exciting act in the Triple R Performance Space this year! We've got two super fun shows lined up for Live at RRR, before we take a well-deserved break and return in the new year.
First up, on Friday 1 December, get ready for a thrilling performance from Naarm post-punk quintet, screensaver. Hosted by Krishan Meepe of Culture Shock.
Celebrating their new album Decent Shapes, screensaver brings a mix of shadowy synth and post-punk sounds to the Triple R Performance Space.
Their songs tackle the complexities of consumer culture and anxieties of adult life, all with piercing wit.
Then, on Tuesday 5 December 7pm, come down for an energetic set from Ali, the three-piece musical project from Jakarta. Hosted by Small FRY of Mooncake.
Ali combine elements of 70’s Indonesian rock, cinematic soul, afro beat, funk, and disco. And with all lyrics written in Arabic, Ali build on the influence of Middle Eastern art and music, deeply ingrained into Indonesian culture over centuries.
The group are bringing their self described ‘Middle Eastern Beats with South East Twists’ back to Australia for Meredith.
Please note: This performance will go to air in the regular Live at RRR slot on Friday 8 December at 7pm, for those who miss out on attending!
Giveaways for both Live at RRR shows are now open! Subscribers and First Nations people, head to Subscriber Giveaways for more details.
Live at RRR will return on Friday 2 February – stay tuned for more!
