Live at RRR For April Amnesty 2025!

April Amnesty 2025 is almost upon us! And to help us celebrate, Kim Salmon's Smoked Salmon, Nikki Nair (US), Ella Thompson and Mess Esque will join us in the Triple R Performance Space next month.
For those not in the know, April Amnesty is Triple R's month-long subscription and donation drive. Subscribe to Triple R during April, and not only will you help keep our station running smoothly and on the airwaves for a little longer, but you’ll be rewarded for your efforts, and automatically entered in the draw to win some really excellent prizes. Plus, only Triple R Subscribers get the chance to attend exclusive gigs in the station’s very own purpose-built venue, the Triple R Performance Space – a pretty good reason to get subscribing!
We're looking forward to spending April Amnesty with our Live at RRR guests –
Kicking it all off on Wednesday 2 April, legendary punk rocker Kim Salmon brings his raw energy to the Triple R Performance Space, hosted by Dave Graney of Banana Lounge Broadcasting. The Scientists and Beasts of Bourbon co-founder has just released a new project in the form of Smoked Salmon. Drawing from nearly five decades of influential music, Salmon will combine classic tracks with original material from his latest album.
Then, on Friday 11 April, acclaimed Atlanta producer Nikki Nair plays the Triple R Performance Space, hosted by Ethan Savage of Feel The Floor. Since emerging in 2018, Nikki Nair has quickly built a reputation for his bold fusion of electro, left-field techno, breaks and UK bass. Known for expert cross-genre blending and dynamic DJ sets, catch Nikki Nair Live at RRR for what is bound to be an energising and memorable set.
On Thursday 17 April, witness a special set from Ella Thompson in the Triple R Performance Space, hosted by Chris Gill of Get Down. Ella Thompson will present songs from Ripple on the Wing, a soaring collection that blends 1960s soul influences with cinematic arrangements, backed by members of Surprise Chef and other soul luminaries from Naarm.
Finally, on Thursday 24 April, come along and see Mess Esque in the Triple R Performance Space, hosted by Kate Kingsmill of The Distant Sky. The duo of Mick Turner (of Dirty Three) and Helen Franzmann (of McKisko) will be playing songs from their third album Jay Marie, Comfort Me - a set of hypnotic, experimental indie rock.
Our Live at RRR April Amnesty shows are for Triple R Subscribers only – so make sure to subscribe for the chance to come along!
