Supremely awesome news, good people: journalist and Triple R broadcaster Kate O’Halloran has won the 2019 VicHealth Award for Outstanding Reporting of Women’s Sport! And against some pretty bloody amazing competition, too. The award recognises Kate’s incredible work increasing visibility and equity for women in sport through her Triple R AFLW pop-up show Kick Like a Girl and ABC columns.

Upon receiving the award, Kate tweeted, ‘Literal blood, sweat and tears has gone into my passion for improving gender equity in sport! This one’s for all of us who continue to fight the good fight.’ We are so very proud of you, Kate – well done and well deserved!
