International Women's Day 2024 on RRR!
Tune into Triple R on Friday 8th March as we celebrate International Women's Day, with an all women and gender diverse line-up!
Kicking off at 6am, Mon and Nat will be joined on Breakfasters with special guest co-host Gemma Cafarella of Queer View Mirror. Plus, extra special Funnybugger Geraldine Hickey will drop by.
At 9am, Emma Buckley Lennox takes the talkback reins! She will be joined by Rachel Withers of Spin Cycle for a book review, plus Emma will be taking calls after 11am from women and gender diverse folk only!
From midday-2pm, it's SmallFRY from Mooncake, playing sounds from Asia and artists of the Asian-diaspora.
Then, at 2pm it's Millú of Full Circle jumping on the decks, to bring us a mix of leftfield electronics, dance-floor ready bass and breaks.
At 4pm, Annaliese Redlich hits the airwaves with her program Neon Sunset and it'll be a 'Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie Zine' takeover with Bianca Valentino! Bianca will be guest selecting records and chatting about her new yet-to-be-released book, which documents her life as a punk zine writer and music fan.
From 7-8pm, we will be featuring a very special edition of Live At RRR with the wonderful Margret RoadKnight. The legend of Australian blues, folk and jazz will be in conversion with Mel Fulton of Literati Glitterati and also treating us to some sweet live tunes. (Subscribers, hit up the Triple R website for your chance to attend!)
Next up, it's Shorty shining the Bright Lights in ya eyes and ears and just generally bringing some good Friday night vibes!
And last - but definitely not least - Beź Zewdie, host of Represented, will bring it all home from 10pm-midnight.
