Untitled (Black Is) is the latest album from SAULT, a group who quietly introduced themselves in 2019 with two of the year's most outstanding records, 5 and 7. Their vibrant, rhythmic music draws new connections between soul, new wave, R&B, hip hop, gospel, funk and dub-infused sounds. SAULT have quickly followed with another essential collection. The group write: "We present our first ‘Untitled’ album to mark a moment in time where we as Black People, and of Black Origin are fighting for our lives. RIP George Floyd and all those who have suffered from police brutality and systemic racism. Change is happening...We are focused." Untitled is a powerful reflection on the present and a profound expression and celebration of Black culture. Joining the group are singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka (on Bow) and poet Laurette Josiah (on This Generation). The group are directing all proceeds from the album to charitable funds.
