"Yummy" is the third LP from prolific local producer and DJ, Nice Girl (aka Ruby Kerkhofs). Acclaimed for intricate, melodic and vibrant dance music, Nice Girl bridges eras and genres across her albums and EPs. "Yummy" brings an equally kaleidoscopic approach - fragments of house music, hyper-pop, ambient and trance are blended with signature playfulness.

There’s a nostalgic haze in the crystalline synth textures of certain songs, like "Walk In, Walk Out", just as there’s a distinctly modern edge to the production and arrangements. High-energy tracks sit next to introspective ones, such as the appropriately named "Take A Break", and the drumless "49". It’s a balance that Nice Girl maintains across the release, alternating euphoric dancefloor catharsis with more contemplative moments; sweet as the cake on the cover art, crisp and refreshing as the berries scattered on top.
