For the Dreams is King Stingray's second album, following their acclaimed self-titled debut which earned them an ARIA for Breakthrough Artist and the Australian Music Prize. These 12 new tracks capture the Yirrkala band's path from North-East Arnhem Land to national recognition, building on their blend of surf, rock and traditional Yolŋu musicality.

Roy Kellaway and Yirrŋa Yunupiŋu's songwriting partnership continues to evolve, with material that invites audience participation while honouring their musical roots. Working under the motto "Yaka Muckaround!" ("We're not mucking around!"), they recorded in studios across Australia between tour dates, channeling the energy of their live shows.

Songs like 'Through the Trees' and 'Looking Out' show the optimistic spirit of their debut while drawing from fresh experiences. 'Southerly' reflects on how far they've come: "We were just a couple of kids/With a couple of big ideas."
