Weyes Blood is the recording name of Californian artist Natalie Mering and "Front Row Seat to Earth" is her latest album, a superlative collection of modern folk and chamber pop orchestrations.The LP evokes a perfectly preserved world of '70s Laurel Canyon anthems and forgotten West coast soul, all created with a precise palette of instruments: subtle percussion, piano, muted brass, acoustic guitar and Mering's voice.
