In 'Deleted Scenes' Conrad Standish and Tom Carlyon have created a debut album of tremendous style and substance. Lyrically the record is poetic, playful and occasionally abstruse. Musically the record finds common ground across an impressive range of genres (including industrial, post punk, dub, and textural electronic pop) to produce a streamlined sound that is both classic in its references and ultra-modern in outlook.
