Sheffield songwriter Richard Hawley has written and recorded an impressive, thoughtful array of songs on Standing At The Sky's Edge. Well known for his guitar work with English pop outfits Longpigs and Pulp, Richard Hawley's solo efforts reach something of a pinnacle with this album, where detailed melodies and meditative lyrics blend with atmospheric arrangments and psychedelic sounds.
