In 2020-2021, trumpet player Ashley Ballat worked with an incredible mentor, the renowned Australian jazz guitarist Stephen Magnusson, to create an album online over the COVID-19 lockdown period. Together they composed and recorded a collection of ethereal melodies that ring over a warm sonic landscape. Through shades of timbre, layers of overdubs and fluid improvisation, emerges Web.

MEATSHELL is the experimental-folk duo of Helen Svoboda (contrabass/voice) and Andrew Saragossi (saxophones). With a shared curiosity for the subtle beauty of things, the pair cultivates unconventional sound worlds, transcending traditional song forms by emphasising the power of story telling through sound. Infused with elements of minimalism, contemporary jazz and free improvisation, the music is intimate, raw and unapologetically honest.
