Taking inspiration from the sound of 1960s Jamaican ska and early rocksteady, the Skabhangers are gaining a reputation for their dynamic live shows. 2022 saw the band perform at the Jamaican Music & Food Festival and take home 2nd prize in PBS FM's February Performer Drive! 

Their self-produced debut album, launched in January 2023, contains original compositions combining cheeky lyrics on modern life in Naarm/Melbourne, with burning instrumentals and improvised solos. The 6-piece band are pumped to bring a two-set early evening Sunday show to the Bar Open front bar for the first time!
