‘Book of Boobook’, the debut release of bassist Paddy Fitzgerald, lays bear a unique and bizarre compositional voice, backed up by some of Melbournes strongest instrumental voices. It features the talents of Tom Noonan, Max Teakle, Lewis Pierre and Brennan Hamilton-Smith. The music takes inspiration from Fitzgerald’s time studying French composer Maurice Ravel while drawing far and wide from the jazz and folk canons.
