Moonah Arts Collective Present

Born out of Waddaruung country Victoria, South Atlas have spent the last 4 years in a creative bubble, refining their sound in an old beach shack on Victoria’s Surfcoast. Since then they have gained a dedicated local following, playing to packed venues of salty eyed coastal folk in the bustling hamlets that dot the Surf Coast.

Musically South Atlas’s sound has raised comparisons to the likes of early Ben Harper and Ben Howard. Years of travel and writing have shaped Lachlan’s honest and personal lyrics which explore human relationships, philosophy and a deep connection with the natural world – subjects close to his heart as a surfer, teacher and environmental scientist.

These multi-instrumentalists combine beautiful melodic harmonies and an array of guitars and folk instruments which pulse like swells to form folk rock psychedelia. The recent inclusion of esteemed Argentinian drummer Ramiro Nahuel has created a powerful rhythmic foot tapping live show not to be missed.

Through the chaos and the calm, South Atlas shares a musical blanket to help keep your senses warm, reflective and humble.
