After fronting several bands as a lead vocalist, Mayhemtom (Tom John) retreated to the busy world of medicine. He returned to music in recent years and drew writing inspiration from very real sources: a difficult childhood, initial aspirations as a musician, the incredible highs but also the trauma of working as an oncologist and also a period of experiencing burnout.
The result is, ‘The Art Of Flying While Falling’, an album of songs set in a range of styles from upbeat rockers, funk-based grooves, dark ballads to atmospheres reminiscent of Radiohead; all mirroring influences and moods at the heart of the music
Mayhemtom and his 4-piece band will be playing the legendary ‘Espy’ on Thursday November 23rd as a part of the ‘Jack Daniels Live at The Espy Basement’ series. Entry is FREE
Special guests on the night: ‘Eddy St.’, a new 4-piece indie rock band
