Luca Li Petri is an Independent, Melbourne based Singer/Songwriter who creates contemporary influenced Rock music but also explores other genres such as Pop and R&B. He began singing at 11 years old, and recently has found his sound staying true to his raw powerful vocals, originality and uniqueness in all of his music.
He has started releasing original music in early 2024, and since has released three singles. All of which have grown him an audience of over 10,000 listeners in over 100 different countries with his latest single ‘ON EDGE’, hitting 21,000 streams on Spotify alone.
Luca has performed in venues such as The Memo Music Hall, The Jazz Lab, and The Gasometer Main Stage. However, in February of 2025 he is set to put on his biggest performance of original music at The Palms Crown as a part of the Future Generations Concert Tour (FUTURATION S2).
With his latest musical creation, Bar Open OG and Melbourne jazz/contemporary music aficionado, Ben Carr, has called on some serious musical muscle to take listeners on a journey, opening the door to a conversation that seems endless with possibilities.
Paying homage to his heritage and his love of the power of the natural world, Ben (saxophone, yidaki) brings together long-time collaborators and friends, Adam King (drums), Tom Fryer (guitar) and Philip Rex (bass) in a bid to harness the energy of Ra (the Māori word for “sun”).
The result is a sound that emulates the magnificence of Ra in an intimate, four-way conversation between a group of good friends and accomplished musicians. Warm and round, blistering with energy, radiating life force.
Compositions informed by contemporary jazz, inspired by the pioneers of the M-Base movement of the late 80s, the audience can expect wave after wave of sonic, abstract imagery.
Bonfires during Solstice; undulating mountain trails; still, silent water - improvisations that encompass the solar system and the wonders that abound within.
