Geelong legends Magic Dirt return to Triple R on Wednesday 30 August, hosted by Rachel Short of Bright Lights.
Back in April 1998, Magic Dirt launched their seminal album Young & Full of the Devil with an iconic gig on the Triple R rooftop in Fitzroy. Two decades on, they are currently on tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of that very record – so it feels particularly fitting to welcome them back into the Performance Space for a super special, Radiothon-sized show this August. Certified icons of Australian rock, The Dirt remain one of this country’s most formidable and enduring acts, their legacy so deeply woven into the DNA of Triple R it’s hard to imagine what the station would sound like without them. A total honour. This one’s going to be big.
Doors open at 6:30pm.
Please note: This performance will go to air during the regular Live at RRR slot on Friday 1 September at 7pm, for those who miss out on attending.
Subscribers and First Nations people, head to Subscriber Giveaways for your chance to attend. Giveaway opens Friday 18 August at 8pm.
You can also listen to the performance live via FM, digital, online and via the Triple R app.
