Literati Glitterati launches its monthly book club with a special live edition in the Triple R Performance Space on Tuesday 28 May, from 7pm. Drink cheap beer, gab with your fellow subscribers and command the roving mic as we unpack the inaugural book of the month: Dorothy Porter’s iconic lesbian crime thriller, The Monkey’s Mask.
Celebrating thirty years since its 1994 release, this modern Australian classic is gritty, sensual and pioneering in form, told in short verses that hit like your favourite song lyrics.
Joined by special guests RVG’s Romy Vager, Worms Book Club’s Hayley Percy, and Dorothy’s surviving partner, award-winning novelist Andrea Goldsmith, the Literati Glitterati Salon is a new monthly book club for folks who like a good story, well told.
Triple R subscribers and First Nations people, can head to Subscriber Giveaways for more details. Giveaway opens Monday 20 May.
PLEASE NOTE: If you extra access needs, please don't hesitate to contact the station at reception@rrr.org.au before the event.
For those unable to attend, you can still tune in to the launch on Wednesday 29 May at 12pm during Literati Glitterati, via FM, digital, online or with the Triple R app.
