About The Exhibition:
Waves and Bubbles: Turbulent Waters creates an aural-visual world, a convergence of climate-science, sound and visual arts for all ages.
This outcome is borne out of over 6 years' partnership (and continuing!) between sound artist / composer Elissa Goodrich and scientific teams from Swinburne University of Technology and University of Melbourne.
The exhibition is a collaboration between internationally renowned, independent artists - and features two artists who have worked at the intersection between new climate science and arts-making and with international platforms or over 10 years respectively:
Elissa Goodrich (AU) (concept / composer / sound artist), Michael Carmody (AU) (video artist / dramaturg), Gabby O'Connor (NZ) (exhibition visual design, visual artist, science communicator and Antarctitan) and the ARC supported Surf Sounds and Bubble Clouds projects teams from Swinburne University of Technology and University of Melbourne, led by Richard Manasseh and Andrew Ooi respectively.
